Mangusta was founded in 1985 by the Balducci family and still belongs to the family-owned Overmarine Group. It builds in Viareggio, Massa and Pisa and, by its own account, has delivered more than 300 yachts.

Three lines define the range: the fast waterjet-driven Maxi Open (REV) up to the 165 REV, the GranSport fast displacement yachts in aluminium, and the Oceano displacement yachts with steel hulls for long range.
