A 2019 Lagoon 42, buyers from Australia and a plan to sail around the world. This is how the sale came about.
The starting point
The buyers from Australia were planning a circumnavigation and were looking for a catamaran they could rely on over long passages. On offer was a pre-owned 2019 Lagoon 42.
The idea: combining purchase and factory refit
Instead of handing the yacht over as it was, we combined the purchase with the Lagoon Factory Refit (Lagoon NEO) by Groupe Beneteau. It was the first Lagoon 42 in this programme.
What the factory refit delivers
The shipyard inspects structure, systems, electrics, propulsion and rigging against a fixed protocol and then tailors the refit to the yacht. Known weak points and recall items are rectified along the way. The work and parts come with a 24-month warranty, a level of assurance a conventional pre-owned boat rarely offers.
The handover
The buyers took delivery of the refitted yacht directly at the shipyard, ready for their circumnavigation.
