Yacht charter in Croatia
More than a thousand islands, short passages and sheltered bays: Croatia is one of Europe's most popular charter destinations. We find the right yacht for your week, from a catamaran with skipper to a motor yacht with crew, and stay with you until you step aboard.
Renting a boat in Croatia: three ways
Rent a catamaran
Plenty of space, little heel and a shallow draught for anchor bays: in Croatia a catamaran is the first choice for families and groups of friends. Catamarans are available at all major charter bases.
Charter with a skipper
If you want to sail yourself, Croatia requires a recognised boating licence and a radio certificate. Without a licence you book a skipper who knows the waters, harbours and weather.
Motor yacht with crew
With a motor yacht and its own crew you reach Hvar, Vis and Korčula in a week without rushing. Captain, hostess and chef take care of everything on board.
The most beautiful cruising areas in Croatia
Central Dalmatia from Split and Trogir
Brač, Hvar, Šolta and Vis are only a few hours apart. The ideal area for a first week, with lively harbours and quiet bays.
Southern Dalmatia from Dubrovnik
Korčula, Mljet with its national park and the Elaphiti Islands: less traffic, a lot of nature and the old town of Dubrovnik at the end.
Kornati and Šibenik
The Kornati National Park with its bare islands and the Krka river up to Skradin. Easy to reach from Biograd, Šibenik or Zadar.
Istria and Kvarner
From Pula or Opatija the journey from Austria and southern Germany is short. Cres, Lošinj and Rab offer green islands and many harbours.
Best time for a yacht charter in Croatia
The season runs from May to October. June and September bring warm water, reliable wind and free berths. July and August are busiest, so book berths in popular harbours early. Charter weeks usually start on Saturday.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a yacht charter in Croatia cost?
It depends on size, season and services. A catamaran costs much less in early season than in August, a crewed motor yacht more. Add final cleaning, tourist tax and, with crew, the advance provisioning allowance. You receive a total price from us before booking.
Do I need a boating licence?
If you skipper the yacht yourself you need a boating licence recognised in Croatia and a radio certificate, and a second crew member should be experienced. With a skipper or crew you need no licence.
How early should I book?
For July and August ideally in the autumn or winter before, especially for catamarans. For June and September a few months are often enough. We are happy to check short-notice gaps for you.
